STARSTRUCK TOP: DONE
AND
HUSH LITTLE BABY: FINISHED
My goal here was to use up as many triangle scraps leftover from bindings as possible. ... and of course to end up with a cute baby quilt. I think this one could be for either a boy or girl.
The blocks are 6" and the quilt top is 36 x 48.
I have a piece of batting just the right size in with my leftovers :)
Not loving the orange for a binding. I'm leaning towards a dark grey or black ???
A few of my favourites :
The red in the star is from a quilt made for a past employee ...great memories of working together
This one is from a wall hanging made for my sister. Polka dots always make me smile and so does my sister!
Not sure where this is from but I wish I had more of the white with little black stars!
I finished this one a few months ago, I did blog about the finished top, but not the finished quilt.
I machine quilted it, but kept it simple.
It now has a name "Hush Little Baby", but no home yet.
Thanks Karen!! You and your quilts always make me smile!! These 2 quilts have me humming 'twinkle, twinkle little star' and 'hush little baby' as I anxiously await the arrival of the recipient of 'Cooley Cutie' baby quilt!!!! Looking forward to seeing you soon!!
ReplyDeleteThese are both super cute!
ReplyDeleteI like your star's. Both are very pretty quilts.
ReplyDeleteI think that orange looks pretty playful. What if you made your test piece smaller, just the size it would be? Take a step back and look again?
