For my granddaughter Ivy.
.
She insisted it must have a dinosaur on it....and it does, in a trailer behind Grampa's truck with Ivy driving, lol.
All the blocks are from Lori Holt's books, except for the dinosaur which is a Lisa Hartman pattern. I recently finished a dinosaur quilt, which was adorable. However, I'm happy only one dino was required here. 😉
Big stitch quilted with vertical lines, 1.5 inches apart.....except for the hexie flowers in the center which I quilted around the outsides and centres.
Backed with yellow minky, because I know it won't get much use if it's not cozy.
Big sister, Livia, was happy to help pose in the pictures. The next project will be a ballerina quilt for Livia.
Linking up with Cynthia at OH SCRAP. Click on the link to see what everyone is up to, it's always a great place for inspiration.
What a beautiful finish and gorgeous photos of the quilt and the girls. I love the use of the blues and how you have personalised it with the dinosaur and Ivy's name.
ReplyDeleteThanks Raewyn, it was a fun one to make.
DeleteCongratulations! This is the most awesome personalized quilt I've seen for a little girl. She's driving the truck! That is SO cute! There's a lot of tiny little pieces in those blocks to make a truck, a scarecrow and a dinosaur. Wow! Love how she tucked her doll under the quilt in one of the pictures. She's adorable! ;^)
ReplyDeleteThankyou Chantal. I love the shot of the doll tucked under the corner too.
DeleteWhat a wonderful quilt Karen!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy, enjoy your summer.
DeleteCute, cute, cute! I love Ivy in the cab of the truck, pulling the dinosaur on the trailer. Fun photos with the actual truck, too!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute quilt and even cuter girls!--TerryK
ReplyDeleteHow sweet, especially with the must have dinosaur.
ReplyDeleteToo, too precious! (Kaholly)
