"COOLEY CUTIE"

This quilt was made for my niece and her husband's little one due to make his or her debut in October.

The sex of the baby will be a surprise, so the challenge was to come up with some gender neutral colours.     Mostly yellow/wheat and off white with a few blue blocks thrown in the front.  A print for the backing which does have a bit of pink in it .... all bases covered!

On the way home from our last visit to Ohio, we stopped at :   needleinahaystackretreat.com .  It's a beautifully redone old dairy barn, now a retreat centre and Fabric Outlet Barn .... and not far off of I-90.  All the material for this quilt was bought there at awesome prices!

Quilted with a loopy stippling, and finishing at 36" x 48".

The quilt did make it to the shower, but we couldn't, we were babysitting the grandpuppy..... we are so looking forward to coming  down in November to meet that baby :))
